In early 2010 the General Conference Software and Technology Director had a brainstorming session with K3 to explore possibilities for allowing churches to create online member directories. A month later the Directory extension for netAdventist was launched.

Directory provides ministries with a powerful tool for quickly creating an online pictorial directory of congregation members or volunteers. Web administrators can pick from a list of pre-defined fields such as phone number and email address, as well as add their own custom field to indicate, for example, which small group the member attends.
